Postpartum Products

I have linked everything I had in my postpartum basket. To be honest every single item was extremely helpful. It is so important to set yourself up before you head to the hospital so when you return home you are comfortable & have everything you need. I did a ton of research on postpartum supplies and felt I had everything I needed. Remember these are products that helped me after a vaginal birth & quantities can vary from person to person depending on bleeding.

One of the best instant pain relievers was the Healing Foam by FridaMom. It is a witch hazel based foam that cooled the area while giving moisture so nothing dried and stuck to the pads (TMI I know) but trust me on this one!

FridaMom also makes an upsidedown peri bottle that in my opinion is a MUST HAVE ITEM. This is to squeeze water down there after you use the bathroom because wiping is not really an option for a while. The hospital does give you a water bottle for this but it is not curved and this does make the world of a difference. I also was happy to have an extra to keep in my master bath as well as the downstairs bathroom because that is not something you want to forget when you need it.

Rael Organic Pads are the best and not only because they are a super clean version of pads but because of how easy the packaging is. This is probably not something you will think of but these pads only have one piece of plastic to reveal the sticky bottom. Having to change your pad so often in those postpartum days is made a lot quicker and easier with Rael Organics. In the link above I have listed pads from heavy to light! You will want a pack at least of each step as your flow gets lighter. After baby the bleeding is comparable to a heavy period that lasts longer and tapers off for a while at the end. Make sure to have pads for each phase this will make the transitions a lot smoother.
